Every Hippopotas card

The short version

Hippopotas has three printings in Pokémon TCG Pocket, across two expansions — the earliest in Space-Time Smackdown and the most recent in Mega Rising. It is a Basic Fighting-type Pokémon with 80 HP, weak to Grass, with a retreat cost of 3. They run to two rarities — two Commons and one Art Rare. The hardest to pull is the Art Rare from Space-Time Smackdown, at about 1 in 186 packs, or 400 Pack Points to buy outright. Nine hunts in ten end inside 427 packs, which is about 7 months at the two free packs a day the game gives you. The printings come out of the Mega Gyarados and Palkia packs. The most recent is Hippopotas #128, from an expansion that shipped in October 2025. That printing attacks with Mud Shot for 30. The card’s own words: “It shrouds itself in sand to ward off germs. It travels easily through the sands of the desert.” It has been drawn by three artists.
