Every Malamar card

The short version

Malamar has three printings in Pokémon TCG Pocket, across two expansions — the earliest in Secluded Springs and the most recent in Pulsing Aura. It is a Stage 1 Darkness-type Pokémon printed at between 90 and 100 HP, weak to Grass, with a retreat cost of 2. They run to two rarities — two Uncommons and one Art Rare. The hardest to pull is the Art Rare from Pulsing Aura, at about 1 in 186 packs, or 400 Pack Points to buy outright. Nine hunts in ten end inside 427 packs, which is about 7 months at the two free packs a day the game gives you. The printings come out of the Pulsing Aura and Secluded packs. The most recent is Malamar #112, from an expansion that shipped in April 2026. That printing attacks with Evolution Jammer for 40. The card’s own words: “It flashes the luminescent spots on its body to hypnotize its opponents, gaining total control over them.” It has been drawn by three artists.
