Every Smeargle card

The short version

Smeargle has four printings in Pokémon TCG Pocket, across three expansions — the earliest in Wisdom of Sea and Sky and the most recent in Ruler of the Skies. It is a Basic Colorless-type Pokémon printed at between 60 and 70 HP, weak to Fighting, with a retreat cost of 1. They run to three rarities — two Uncommons, one Art Rare and one Shiny. The hardest to pull is the Shiny from Ruler of the Skies, at about 1 in 559 packs, or 1,000 Pack Points to buy outright. Nine hunts in ten end inside 1,285 packs, which is about 1.8 years at the two free packs a day the game gives you. The printings come out of the Ruler of the Skies, Gardevoir and Lugia packs. The most recent is Smeargle #222, from an expansion that shipped in July 2026. That printing carries the ability Portrait and attacks with Tail Whap for 30. The card’s own words: “The color of the mysterious fluid secreted from the tip of the tail is predetermined for each Smeargle.” It has been drawn by four artists.
