Every Tyranitar card

3 printings across 2 expansions. Evolves from Pupitar.

The short version

Tyranitar has three printings in Pokémon TCG Pocket, across two expansions — the earliest in Triumphant Light and the most recent in Wisdom of Sea and Sky. It is a Stage 2 Darkness and Fighting-type Pokémon with 160 HP, weak to Grass, with a retreat cost of 4. They run to two rarities — two Rares and one Art Rare. The hardest to pull is the Art Rare from Wisdom of Sea and Sky, at about 1 in 186 packs, or 400 Pack Points to buy outright. Nine hunts in ten end inside 427 packs, which is about 7 months at the two free packs a day the game gives you. The printings come out of the Ho-Oh and Arceus packs. The most recent is Tyranitar #119, from an expansion that shipped in July 2025. That printing carries the ability Energy Plunder and attacks with Buster Tail for 130. The card’s own words: “Extremely strong, it can change the landscape. It is so insolent that it doesn’t care about others.” It has been drawn by three artists.
