Every Charmander card

The short version

Charmander has ten printings in Pokémon TCG Pocket, across six expansions — the earliest in Genetic Apex and the most recent in Promo A. It is a Basic Fire-type Pokémon printed at between 60 and 70 HP, weak to Water, with a retreat cost of 1. They run to four rarities — six Commons, one Rare, one Art Rare and two Shinies. The hardest to pull is the Shiny from Shining Revelry, at about 1 in 279 packs, or 1,000 Pack Points to buy outright. Nine hunts in ten end inside 643 packs, which is about 11 months at the two free packs a day the game gives you. The printings come out of five different packs. The most recent is Charmander #032, from an expansion that shipped in October 2024. That printing attacks with Ember for 30. The card’s own words: “It has a preference for hot things. When it rains, steam is said to spout from the tip of its tail.” It has been drawn by eight artists, Teeziro more than anyone else with three cards.
