Every Magmar card

The short version

Magmar has six printings in Pokémon TCG Pocket, across six expansions — the earliest in Genetic Apex and the most recent in Mega Shine. It is a Basic Fire-type Pokémon printed at between 70 and 80 HP, weak to Water, with a retreat cost of 1. They run to three rarities — four Commons, one Uncommon and one Shiny. The hardest to pull is the Shiny from Fantastical Parade, at about 1 in 559 packs, or 1,000 Pack Points to buy outright. Nine hunts in ten end inside 1,285 packs, which is about 1.8 years at the two free packs a day the game gives you. The printings come out of six different packs. The most recent is Magmar #012, from an expansion that shipped in March 2026. That printing attacks with Tail Whap for 30. The card’s own words: “Wavering flames similar to those of the sun appear on the surface of this Pokémon’s body.” It has been drawn by six artists.
