Every Magmortar card

The short version

Magmortar has three printings in Pokémon TCG Pocket, across three expansions — the earliest in Space-Time Smackdown and the most recent in Mega Shine. It is a Stage 1 Fire-type Pokémon printed at between 120 and 130 HP, weak to Water, with a retreat cost of 2. They run to two rarities — one Uncommon and two Rares. The hardest to pull is the Rare from Space-Time Smackdown, at about 1 in 97 packs, or 150 Pack Points to buy outright. Nine hunts in ten end inside 223 packs, which is about 4 months at the two free packs a day the game gives you. The printings come out of the Mega Shine, Shining and Palkia packs. The most recent is Magmortar #013, from an expansion that shipped in March 2026. That printing attacks with Thundering Volcano for 70. The card’s own words: “They dwell in volcanic craters. It’s said that only a single pair of Magmortar will inhabit any given volcano.” It has been drawn by three artists.
